I love the idea of this oven mitt as we are die hard Cowboys fans, however the thumb should be about about 1/2-1 inch to make this a practical mitt. With the thumb as low as it is you run the risk of dropping Christmas dinner as you pull it from the oven

While the thumb placement on the mitt is accurate for a “foam finger” it does make it so you can only correctly wear it on the right hand which you think wouldn’t be a problem for right hand people until you try to turn something left handed but still very good quality has held up being washed

PROS: The oven mitt is branded with my favorite sports team.CONS: The placment of the oven mitt’s thumb is designed to be too close to the palm which makes the mitt wearable on the right hand only(I’m left handed); the index finger of the mitt is closed which makes grabbing things awkward & cumbersome because the index finger just sticks doing nothing.CONCLUSION: The oven mitt gets 1 star because it’s branded with my favorite sports team. I would have a more positive opinion of it if the placement of the thumb was on the side of mitt & if I could actually use the index finger to grab things.

This is cute, but not very functional. I bought it for looks, mainly, so I’m ok with it. But I did try to use it as an oven mitt and then quickly grabbed our old, stained, trusty oven mitt. This thing is huge and can’t be worn on your left hand. I probably would have dropped the hot dish if I had tried to use it. Oh, well. It does look good though.

We bought my dad a very large foam #1 finger for his fav NFL Team (SeaHawks) and he hates it for some reason. Since he likes to cook, we also got him this one as a gag to further annoy him. Worked like a charm! That said this is really good quality, the printing doesn’t come off in the heat, it doesn’t get dirty easily, and it’s very durable. Would definitely buy again, consider for others.
