I bought this as a shared Christmas gift for my 11 and 14 year old daughters. Although they didn’t show that much excitement for it they use it all the time and play together! And I personally love that it is branded WNBA!

I’ve used a lot of basketballs over the years, official weight leather balls, balls designed to take a beating outdoors, you name it. While this WILSON WNBA Team Tribute Basketball isn’t among the very best, it’s a good ball for outdoor use, especially for younger players just learning the game. It bounces well and has a good grip, and after several play sessions, it still looks to be in good shape. My girls are just beginning to learn the game (10 y/0 twins and an 11 year old) and they had a noticeably easier (and more enjoyable) time with this ball than they had with the standard (size 7) basketballs. It does seem to have a little more bounce to it (or maybe I overinflated), but that just makes you a better shooter, right? All-in-all, for a smaller size ball, this is a good option.

Wilson makes a great ball but outdoor use, this ball withstands the abuse.

This ball is everything I’d expect from a Wilson basketball. As a kid I used to use Wilson and they were good basketballs–this one is no different. The listing doesn’t actually mention the actual size of the ball and just assumes that you will know that since this is a WNBA ball that you’d know that this ball is a a size 6 ball. I assumed that this ball would be just as good as any ball to give my elementary school aged children but I learned that there are recommended sizes for different ages due to the weight/size of the ball. To figure out what size ball to get, here is a list I was able to find that helped me figure it all out:Size 4– Kids 5-8Size 5– kids 9-11Size 6– Boys 12-14 / Girls 12 and up / Official Size for Women’s college and proSize 7– Boys 14 and up / Official Size for Men’s college and proOverall this is a nice ball but it is a little heavy right now for my kids. That doesn’t stop them from bouncing it around and practice dribbling and passing the ball. It just is a bit heavy for them when they try to throw the ball.Review For:Wilson WNBA Team Tribute Basketballs

This intermediate-size ball arrived fresh and ready-for-play. We took off the cardboard halo that helps it stay in place and got a game of horse going with the teens and our grade-school niece. Our kids know about the WNBA as we watch them play when MD Women’s Terps are not front-and-center. UConn is also a powerhouse for women’s basketball too! So, the ball! Great size for smaller hands, younger players. Has a rubber/grippy surface which is good for passing and ball handling with beginners. Good bounce and holds up to driveway play (we have nothing indoor) – a great assets. The only critique (from a niece ) – it doesn’t go in the basket everytime I want it to…likely every player’s lament, it’s a good intermediate (not full size) ball.

Great basketball, just what you expect from Wilson. The colors are perfect and it comes already inflated so no worries over pumping it up initially. It has a typical bump texture for basketballs and is pretty easy to grip. My daughter has definitely found it easier to play around with this size 6 ball than the full size. Overall, this is a great purchase and I would highly recommend.

My husband got this and realized that it’s a bit smaller than the men’s. Oh well, the ball itself is really nice and great quality.

I wanted a ball for my daughter to use outdoors, because I do not let her use her expensive ball outside. I have had cheaper basketballs over the years and expectations are low. She has used one time outside for about 20 minutes and I can already see that it is starting break down. I did not expect that.

Decent basketball for my grandkids to use. They are middle and high school aged and the ball seems just the right size for them. It’s colors are awesome. We opted for,the sky blue and it’s really a great color. The ball came inflated but needed a little extra air. It seems to,work great for the kids with their outdoor practice.

A basketball for the big leaguesThis basketball is size 6 which is 28.5”. This is the intermediate size for males 9-11 years old and for females 9 years old all the way up to the pros. On one side of the ball it has the WNBA logo. On the other side of the one we got it has the Las Vegas Aces logo. The overall color scheme on the ball is the Aces red and gold.
