I was expecting this product to be a bit sturdier for the purpose of opening bottles on the go. The bottle-opener insert is metal, but the rest of the shell is lightweight plastic. Trying to open some stubborn bottles, I have felt the frame start to bend and come apart. It is still in one piece as of now. If I bought again I would opt for an all-metal alternative.
