This was very thick and heavier than I expected. It was soft and really nice when it arrived. I washed it before giving it to my son to use, and then dried it. It was washed on cool and dried on the normal setting with other clothes, but when it came out of the dryer, parts of the top side are now rough and have a lint-like coating on them, while other parts still look normal. There was a ton of lint in the trap, and parts of the blanket were “stuck” to itself, similar to static cling. It was those parts that were messed up–it’s like the nap of the fabric has changed and it now feels rough to the touch and looks different than the rest of the blanket. I would not recommend or buy again!

Do you like soft fleece blankets? I sure do! Do you like soft fleece blankets that shed terribly? I sure don’t!! I wish I would have gotten pictures before my fiancé through it all out. This blanket shedded so much to the point i could have made a toddler blanket! I followed the instructions on how to wash and care for this and it still didn’t matter. Not only was the dryer lint vent PACKED with shed but the top of the blanket was covered and the underside looked matted!I had to take one of those lint scrapers and de-shed the entire blanket both sides. Once that was done it was soft and perfect. The underside no longer looked matted. But now I’m worried to wash it again. Was it just the first wash or will it do this every time?? Unless you want to deal with all of that, I wouldn’t recommend. If my window for returning it hadn’t of ended(it was a late gift until he got back into town), it would have been returned!

I don’t typically write reviews on amazon, but I did want to share this one since I didn’t even remember buying it the night my son started at Penn State. It may have been a “sip and shop” kind of evening. It’s big and goes from the back of my couch to the floor with the couch reclined. It’s super soft and extremely warm. The color is gorgeous and will be a must have tailgating and cold nights at home. WE ARE!

Purchased this for my FSU student to use as an all-purpose blanket in the dorm. It is super soft like petting a short hair kitty. My only complaint is the color. I read some of the other reviews stating the color was off but I decided to order it anyway. It looks like the maroon/garnet color has faded from sitting in the sun too long. It has a pinkish tint to it when you run your hand over it. The lackluster color is not extremely noticeable but I figured it was worth mentioning in my review. Just don’t expect a deep rich maroon/garnet color like other FSU products. My son could care less about the color. He was so happy when he walked in his room and noticed the blanket on his bed. He gave me a big hug and said Thank you. He jumped on his blanket, made a few snow angels on it, and commented how comfy it feels. Happy kid. That’s all that matters. Worth every penny.

It fits on a twin bed and was very vibrant and soft. It was given as a gift to a friend in a nursing home. It had to be washed often at the nursing home and it did start to fade. He took it off of his bed because he didn’t want it to continue to fade. I would recommend it to anyone that might not have to wash it as often. Also who knows what commercial detergent was being used at the nursing home.

This blanket is labeled as a throw, but has an extremely generous size and weight to it. We bought the Florida Gators camo blanket for our Little guy’s 8th birthday with a surprise room makeover for him. Ordered this UK blanket for my son going to college. Placed in wash and washing machine inside barrel of washer covered in lint after it completed the cycle. Placed in the dryer and lint filter so full of lint over an inch thick. Washed and dried two more times and same result. Blanket is so full of fuzz and lint that any movement causes a flurry of lint to go everywhere. This blanket is not usable due to such excess lint and fuzz. I received in June and just now washed as we are just about to leave for college drop off but the return window has passed. Would love to have a refund as this blanket is not usable. Had I known that this blanket could never be washed then I would have never bought it.

This plush throw blanket definitely has a nice feel to the fabric. The fabric is not thick. I noticed that it didn’t keep me quite as warm when sleeping as I had hoped. The packaging around it stated it has “thermal qualities”. It’s a warmer weather kind of blanket. It has vivid colors which makes it look really good. It can only be washed in a commercial washing machine or a front loading washing machine. As long as you are not expecting it to keep you really warm, I think you will be pleased with it.

Another review mentioned shedding, but I had no idea how bad… it says to wash first. I followed the directions, and the photo is literally after the first wash. Just folding it made my shirt this bad and there’s shedding all over the blanket itself. I even got it in my eye.. gah! The size, thickness, and softness is great, so I may try and wash it a couple more times to see if it gets better. To be continued…

Beautiful blanket that I bought for my boyfriend’s Husker Mancave in our new house. Very comfortable and soft. Big enough for two people to use. However, the edging has already started coming loose from the side of the blanket and looks like it will need to be cut off or resewn on. We have barely used this blanket at all, as the mancave doesn’t get used often, so the blanket hasn’t had any wear or tear. We haven’t even washed it. Love the way it looks, a little disappointed in the quality.
